I joined Fusion Consulting three years ago, right after I graduated from my master’s program at university. I started in the PMO department and only one and a half years later I was the local training manager of wave 1 of our project in Fort Worth. By the time of wave 2, I became the regional project manager to coordinate the end-user training for six sites. In this position, I was assigned three local training managers who were to report to me directly. However, I have not forgotten about the roots of my first role and besides managing projects, I am also the sub-practice lead for training. My professional development was very motivating to me, also knowing that it played a part in Fusion Consulting expanding at a very high rate over these past few years. I was not only able to witness this growth but play a part in it. At times it was challenging in many ways, to that comes that when you’re working on projects, you often have to think outside the box and even outgrow yourself to an extent you never knew was possible before.
"If you keep your goals in sight and work towards them, you can be sure that people will see that and in the long run, you will profit from your efforts."
For this reason, I appreciate that hard work is recognized and valued by the company and the management team. If you keep your goals in sight and work towards them, you can be sure that people will see that and in the long run, you will profit from your efforts. The flat hierarchies at Fusion Consulting and the direct contact to the management team only support this idea, pushing careers to the next levels. However, in this organization, it’s not only about professional-, but also about personal development. You will be assigned tasks that will challenge you on many levels, but commitment and hard work will pay off.
